My Feeing Toward "The Little Prince"

My feeling toward "The Little Prince" In the short novel "The Little Prince", I think it lacks in length is made up in its tenderness. In the beginning of the story, the little prince left the beautiful yet annoying rose he planned. Little did he know, while the rose was trying to be strong and dominant, she was subordinate to the prince's love and attention. If the prince didn't meet the fox on one of the planet he traveled to, he might never knew the reasons behind the rose's action. Sadly, by then, it was already a little too late to return. The story is presented in a children’s story, yet it reflects problems and emotions that occur in the adult world . Anyone of us can be, has been, or will be the little prince, going through the same turmoil. Seeing how the misunderstanding occurred due to the lack of communication between the prince and the rose, I have greater sense of how important communication is in our world. Luckily, if we listen to others carefully, like the way the prince did with the fox, we can conquer all sorts of confusion and problems in life. Last but not least, the most valuable thing I learned from reading "The Little Prince” is that we should care for the ones around us before it’s too late. I believe that "Listening is a art of society ." I think sometimes we can learn something from this book. And I think that the little prince has love and attention. It is valuable in this world. However, this book can inspire me. Although its paragraph is short, it is a meaningful novel. I really enjoy reading English novel. I think it is not onlny can improve my English writing skill, but also can learn some inspiration from reading novel.

My Feeing After I Saw The Movie "Pride and Prejudice"

After class ,I went to library to see "Pride and Prejudice". I was very exciteing because that I had been a half of the movie in class.And following is my discription about this movie. Talking about the five daughters of the benette familly who are looking forward to be able to unite by marriage with rich and prestigious families under mother's arrangement.Then, in a ball Jane, the eldest daughther fall in love with their new neighbor Mr Bingly at first sight; However Elizabeth the second daughther is biased at Mr Bingly 's friend Darcy 's arrogance. Later on, because of Bingly's leaving and Wickham's frame up, Elizabeth has even enhanced her prestigeness. Darcy proposed to Elizabeth but has been refused which frustrated his arrogance, therefore he has to reveal the truth by writting a letter. Elizabeth finally understood Wickham and feels ashamed/disgraced for early misunderstanding. Elizabeth's little syster Lydia went away with by falling to his lies, because of Darcy's tremendous help by lowering his profile, Elizabeth started to have feelings for him. Also due to Darcy 's assistance Bingly and Jane finally found a way in their love by marrying each other. The story ends up with Darcy and Elizabeth having a wonderfull marriage at last.

I read a post about English writing

After I read the post about common mistakes for writing . I thought I always make the same mistake again and again. Sometime I post some article on my blog wtih wrong English grammer as well as use the wrong English words.In addition,I often put "and"and"but" in the beginning of the sentence. However, I believe that if I keep practicing English writing, my English ability will be improved. Well goes the saying,"Those who sow in tear, will reap with sounds of joy."

I Got a Cold >"<

I think I was get up with wrong side today. I lose my two whole-new textbook.(They cost $2000). Besides, I had a very serious cold. I felt tired, and I couldn't listen what teacher said carefully. I just want to sleep. Therefore, I fell asleep in front of teacher(I sitted the seat which very close teacher.) I sleep two hours until my classmate waked me up.When I was finished all of my subject today. I wanted to see the doctor, but there are so many people in the bus station.I thought that I should wait for a long time to get on the bus to hospital. I really felt worse and my headache became more serious. How upset Ifelt. I told to myself,"Chear Up Sophia, I think yuo can handle these things well."When I got the phonecall from my father, my father encouagedme, I feel more better . Today is a special day for me>"<~But I have confidence myself. I must not be dedeat by the flu. I can do every thing well, even though I was in "the raining day ."

Technology For Me

The biggest convenience that technology has brought into my life is the ability to talk with friends on the Internet. For me, the best part about chatting online is that I don't have to worry about a costly bill at the end of the month like I do with a cell phone. In additon,I can learn English from the Internet reasource.I attend the computer-assisted language learning course.And use the method to implove my English ability.However, this same technology can become a vehicle for crime if certain people－kidnappers, for example－use it in the wrong way. On the whole, technology has affected our lifestyle in many ways. Twenty years ago, most mothers washed clothing by hand. Now washing machines are widely available, making this unnecessary. Before the invention of the MP3, you had to carry a heavy CD player with you if you wanted to listen to music outside of your home. Now a tiny MP3 player allows you to listen to music all the time, wherever you go.

Aftrer I saw "Finding Nemo" ^0^~

I like to watch movie. "Finding Nemo"is one of my favorate movie.After I saw this movie. I learned a lot of things. The movie Finding Nemo is a strong contrast to today's parenthood. The over-protectiveness of the father can be seen everywhere. Parents want to control their children's life by controlling their education, limiting where the children can go, and trying to shield their children from the harm "out there". In the movie, Marlin, the father, tries to keep his son, Nemo, close to the corel reef (where the corel offers protection). In essense, Marlin is a child who has never left the warmth of home and the protection of others. But curiosity causes Nemo to venture out and become caught. Thus Marlin takes n long adventure to rescue his son. Here, both Marlin and Nemo are on their own they have to grow in a new hostile environment.In the end, the father understands and lets his son go out in a "school bus". A father cannot just teach his son. He must teach his son how to teach himself. I really love my father beacause he always educates me with his heart. He encourage me when I failed in something. My mother kind to me even I made mistake.I think that I should thanks God give me such nice parents^^.

Prehistoric artifacts uncovered in downtown Taipei.For me,I think we should cherish our enviornment and something frefather leave.Pottery sherds and stone hammers that were recently unearthed in an area in Dalongdong, downtown Taipei were confirmed by an archaeologist to be prehistoric artifacts belonging to the Neolithic Xuntangpu culture. Judging from the texture and shape of the artifacts and using Carbon-14 dating, Liu Yi-chang, a researcher at Academia Sinica's Institute of History and Philology, said the sherds belong to the Xuntangpu culture, which dates back to the middle of the New Stone Ageroughly 4,500 years ago. Liu, who led a team of archaeologists to carry out a dig under a contract with the Taipei Cultural Affairs Bureau at a construction site near the Lanzhou Police Station in Dalongdong, said the site is now identified as a Xuntangpu prehistoric cultural site. Liu inferred that between 4,000 and 6,000 years ago, people in the Taipei area already had agriculture and a system of barter, and engaged in trade activities using valuable stones such as jade as currency. T0hese people, who are believed to be the earliest "Taiwanese," used boats for transportation. Liu said prehistoric sites of the Xuntangpu culture have also been discovered in Tainan and Kaohsiung and even in the northern Philippines.Officials from Taipei Cultural Affairs Bureau have ordered a suspension of construction work at the Dalongdong site in accordance with the cultural and heritage protection law.

Kaohsiung residents, who are zealous and hospitable, like to keep their houses neat and tidy in order to warmly entertain their friends. This is the thinking mode that builds up this city. Entering Kaohsiung whether from the airport, station, highway, or harbor,always brings great spirit to everyone. What a sparkling city! Today is 228 Remembrance Day

Today not only is a holiday, but also is a speacial day that we should know. As a colleage student, I think we should understand the history about The 228 Incident and reflection.

The 228 Incident, which occurred less than a yearand a half after Retrocession, started out with anti-smuggling personnel and military police units,because anti-tobacco smuggling units dealt with acase inappropriately, which led to a petition by thepeople of Taipei to demonstrate on February 28, anda strike by industrial workers and storekeepers. And because on that day government guards shot at thepetitioning crowds, the confusion could not becontained, and so the petition to punish the murdersturned into a fight against the government, andwent on to become a conflict between the peopleof Taiwan and the mainlanders. The resistance andconflict immediately spread throughout the entireisland, making what was originally just a publicsecurity incident into a political movement.Local leaders took the opportunity to demand all-outreform, and because some areas were armed withmilitary and police weapons, armed conflict ensued.

This transformed the face of Taiwan's politics,economics, society and culture in the immediatepostwar period, foreshadowing what was to comeafter 228. The 228 Incident's subsequent influenceon all of Taiwan has been deep and serious. After understanding the history of the 228 incident. I think we should reflectg on the past in the light of the present, the history of the 228 Incident is both deeply educational and inspiring.
